On July 9, 2025, Morocco’s Ministry of Equipment officially kicked off construction of the third 19 km phase of the expressway between Fez and Taounate, with a budget of roughly 324 million MAD. This section is part of a wider 73 km infrastructure upgrade aimed at reducing travel time, enhancing safety, and improving connectivity in the Fez‑Meknès region.
