Rachid Yazami

Rachid Yazami (b. April 16, 1953, Fès) is a Moroccan–French electrochemist and inventor of the graphite anode crucial for modern lithium‑ion batteries. Holder of 150+ patents and 200+ scientific papers, he won the Draper Prize (2014), IEEE Medal (2012), and VinFuture Grand Prize (2023), among other honors. He serves as a professor at NTU Singapore.
